MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Tribal Sheikhs and dignitaries in the city of Manbij rejected Turkish threats and Turkish intervention in Syria under any execution.

“The Turkish threats aim to strike security and stability in the region and tear the social fabric in the region,” Muhammad Sadiq al-Aseedi, spokesman for the sheikhs and dignitaries in Manbij, told North Press.
On Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan renewed his threats to launch a military operation on the cities of Manbij and Tal Rifaat, which house displaced people from several Syrian regions.
Al-Aseedi rejected the Turkish threats under any name, because if they actually occurred, it would lead to a humanitarian catastrophe because it is fundamentally against morality and humanity and its goal is looting and demographic change in the first place.
Al-Aseedi condemned the international silence regarding the threats and the failure of the active countries in the Syrian issue to take any serious steps so far.

“The Turkish attacks will undermine efforts aimed at restoring security and stability in the region. These barbaric attacks will not differentiate between a civilian or a military and they will target everyone without exception,” he told North Press.
“We are not surprised by the Turkish threats. Turkey continues to launch such threats since the city was liberated from ISIS,” Ali al-Jimeli, a prominent figure of the Bani Jimeli tribe in Manbij, said.
The SDF liberated Manbij from ISIS rule in 2016, and the city is now under the control of the SDF-aligned Manbij Military Council. Remarkably, the MMC.
Al-Jumaili said that “the Turkish goal of the threats is to occupy more Syrian areas and turn them into areas of Turkey and change the demographics of the region, whether by raising the Turkish flags in them, displacing its residents, or imposing the Turkish language and monetary transactions in Turkish Lira,” he added.
Recently, Turkey and its backed opposition factions have escalated shelling of villages in the countryside of Manbij.
