Turkish shelling on northern Aleppo countryside causes material damage
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Turkish shelling along with Turkish-backed opposition forces (SNA) on villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo on Wednesday evening, led to the burning of a house and a vehicle in an initial outcome of the shelling.
“Artillery shells fell in the middle of the village of Aqiba in the northern countryside of Aleppo. The shelling resulted in the burning of a public transport vehicle (mini bus) owned by a civilian,” a local source told North press.
A shell also fell on another civilian’s house, causing a fire and destroying parts of it, without causing any casualties.
The Turkish forces and the SNA bombed the villages of Aqiba, Sogunaka, Ziyarah and Abyan, with more than 200 artillery shells and mortars, which resulted in huge material losses and a fire in crops, a military source told North Press.
The bombing is still ongoing, according to the same source.
