Forces of government, opposition exchange sporadic shelling in Syria’s northwest

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – The areas of Idlib, Aleppo and Latakia, northwest of Syria, witnessed on Sunday sporadic shelling between the Turkish-backed opposition (SNA) factions and the government forces.

The government forces sporadically shelled the opposition factions’ posts in the villages and towns of al-Fatira, Kafr Oweid, Sufuhn, and Kansafra in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib. They also shelled and the outskirts of the town of Ma’arat al-Naasan, east of Idlib, opposition military sources told North Press.

The government forces also struck the opposition forces’ sites in the villages and towns of Kafr Noran, Kafr Ta’al, Taqad and Ajel in western countryside of Aleppo. No casualties were reported.

Meanwhile, al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room struck the government forces’ posts near the town of Abu Ali, north of Lattakia governorates, with artillery shells and missiles,” military sources in the opposition told North Press.

Areas in the de-escalation zone in the northwest of Syria continue to witness daily exchange of bombardment between the Turkish-backed opposition factions and the government forces.
