Government forces, opposition exchange shelling in Syria’s northwest
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – The de-escalation zone in Idlib, Aleppo and Hama northwest Syria witnessed on Friday ongoing mutual between the Syrian government forces and the Syrian opposition factions.
“The government forces targeted the opposition headquarters in the villages and towns of Seikh Suleiman, Kafr Ta’al, Tadil, Kafr Ama, Tuqad and Kafr Nouran in the western countryside of Aleppo with heavy artillery,” military sources of the opposition told North Press.
“The government forces from their positions in the city of Kafr Nabl pounded the towns of Kansafra and al-Bara south of Idlib with heavy artillery,” the sources added.
Military sources of the opposition told North Press that “In response, Al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations’ Room targeted the government forces’ positions in the town of Foro in Ghab Plain in the western countryside of Hama with artillery shells and missile.”
Twenty members of the Syrian government forces were killed and wounded on Friday morning in a direct targeting of a military bus by the Syrian opposition factions in the western countryside of Aleppo.
