Turkey, opposition factions pound villages in Syria’s Aleppo region

ALEPPO COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed armed Syrian opposition factions targeted several villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo, north Syria, with scours of artillery shells.

The Turkish forces and the affiliated factions targeted the villages of Nayrabiya, Tel Enab, Radar, Khirnat Shaalah, Tel Zoyan, Tel Rahhal, Kharbashah and Samoqa in the northern countryside of Aleppo, a local source told North Press.

The Turkish forces targeted the aforementioned villages from their military bases located in the villages of Thalthana and Hazwan west of the city of al-Bab in the countryside of Aleppo, the source added.

The bombardment caused material losses in the uninhabited houses and a number of lands reporting no casualties.

On Wednesday, the Turkish forces and the Syrian opposition factions hit the village of  Shawargha in Sharan district in the countryside of Afrin leaving material losses in the residents’ houses.

On the same day, the outskirts of the villages of Aqiba and Ibbin affiliated with Sherawa district were also targeted, but no civil or material losses were reported.
