Leader of opposition faction killed in Syria’s Aleppo countryside

ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday evening, a leader of the Islamic Ahrar al-Sham faction, a Sunni Salafist militant group operating in northern Syria, was killed in the city of Jarablus, east of Aleppo.

“Zakaria Hamidi, known as Abu Hafs, a member of public relations in the Islamic Ahrar al-Sham faction, was killed when an explosive device, which was placed inside his car, exploded in the Dakarat neighborhood in the eastern city of Jarablus,” a special source told North Press.

And in the context of the violations committed by the Turkish-backed factions in Afrin, members of the Sultan Murad faction cut down on Sunday 90 olive trees in the Ma’batli district of Afrin countryside, north of Aleppo, North Press reported a special source.

The Turkish forces and Turkish-backed opposition factions  continue to commit violations against the local population of Afrin region through the arbitrary arrests and the seizure of their property.
