Government soldier killed west of Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Unknown attackers shot dead yesterday a soldier of the Syrian government forces in the western countryside of Daraa, in southern Syria.
Attackers fired directly at Kinan Imad Drgham, who hailed from the city of Salkhad in the southern countryside of Suwayda, critically wounding him.
Drgham, a member of the 15th Special Forces Division of the government forces, was hospitalized at the National Hospital in Daraa where he succumbed to his wounds.
The killing followed two other incidents on Sunday which claimed the lives of a government soldier and a government defector.
Despite the city’s inclusion in a series of settlements reached through Russian mediation to reconcile with the government, killings and assassinations by various parties continue in Daraa and in the surrounding countryside.
