Person found dead with gunshot in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North press) – On Monday, a person was found dead with gunshot near the primitive oil refineries by residents of a town, east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
The young man, Ahmed al-Rizk, was found dead with gunshot to the head near the primitive oil refineries on the outskirts of the desert of the town of al-Jardi, 80 km east of Deir ez-Zor, Juma’a al-Hassan, a resident of the town of al-Jardi, told North Press.
“Al-Rizk was a former member of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), but then he worked in the oil refineries,” the source said.
Recently, the areas controlled by the Iranian-backed militias and the government forces in Deir ez-Zor have been witnessing significant increase in ISIS cells activity.
