Two Manbij villages targeted by Turkish Army
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish drone bombed the village of al-Muhsinli in the northern countryside of Manbij on Monday.
Furthermore, the village of Arab Hassan in the Manbij countryside was shelled by the Turkish Army from its base in al-Tokhar al-Kabir,” a source from the Manbij Military Council said.
Background: The Manbij Military Council liberated the northern Syrian city of Manbij with US support in 2016.
The source, however, did not release information on casualties or material damage.
The shelling, albeit sporadically, is still going on, according to the source.
Since early this week, Turkey and Turkish-backed opposition factions have intensified their shelling of areas near Ain Issa, Tel Abyad, and Tel Tamr.
On Sunday, a Turkish drone targeted the village of al-Muhsinli without causing any casualties.
