Deir ez-Zor eastern countryside Council condemns Turkey’s assaults on NE Syria
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the Council of Deir ez-Zor eastern countryside, east Syria, condemned the continuous Turkish attacks on the regions of northeast Syria, demanding the Global Coalition, Russia and the international community put an end to what they described as “inhumane encroachments” on the region.
In a statement, the council condemned the Turkish attacks on the region, stressing that they are taking place without any justification.
It described the Turkish attacks, despite the existence of ceasefire agreements with the guarantor parties, as “tyranny, colonialism and terrorism”, amid shameful international silence.
The statement considered the construction of the concrete wall on the border between Syria and Iraq, a conspiracy involving Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria, against the democratic project in northeast Syria as well as it is a siege of the region.
Turkey’s seizure of the Euphrates River water is clear evidence of the conspiracy, according to the council.
The council called on the international community, the United Nations, human rights organizations and the International Court of Justice to show credibility and take action regarding the violations against the residents of the region.
