First sector of Iraqi refugees in Hawl Camp  caught fire

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press ) – On Tuesday, the first section of Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah, northeast Syria, caught fire.

“ The first section of Hawl Camp, which house Iraqi refugees, caught fire,” a security source in the camp told North Press.

“The fire took place in one of the tents designated for cooking. The cause of the fire, which was put out,  was not found,” the source added.

On Monday evening, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) found three women shot dead. One of the killed was identified as an Iraqi, while the others were not identified, according to the source.

Given its location, Hawl Camp subsequently became a central area for housing captured ISIS fighters during the battle against ISIS. Current ISIS leadership sees the camp as its primary source of remaining supporters because of the large number who are detained in the camp, hailing from a variety of nationalities from around the world.
