Clashes leave one injured northwest of Syria’s Aleppo

ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – One person was injured, late on Monday, following clashes between two families in al-Sina’a neighborhood, in the city center of Azaz, a city in Aleppo northern countryside.

“Fierce clashes erupted between the two families of Bakkour and Menan in al-Sina’a neighborhood in Azaz which wounded one person who was hospitalized to the national hospital in the city,” an eyewitness told North Press.

A military group from the Turkish-backed factions of the Military Police and  Northern Storm Brigade headed to the scene to settle the dispute after the clashes expanded and started affecting residential buildings in the area, according to the eyewitness.

The source noted that the dispute was settled without revealing the reason behind it, and that some people from both families were arrested.

Since July 2012, Azaz and the surrounding villages, north of Aleppo, have been under the control of the Turkish-backed Syrian armed opposition factions. Successive bombings and kidnapping take place frequently in the city amid inability of the Syrian opposition factions to control security.
