Gunmen kill, injure civilians in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, a civilian was killed and another was wounded in a shooting by unknown gunmen in the northern countryside of Daraa, southern Syria.

The young man, Muhammad Mer’i al-Nassar, was shot dead by unknown gunmen in the southern neighborhood of Daraa, local sources told North Press.

“Al-Nassar, who hailed from al-Sanamayn in the northern countryside of Daraa, joined the opposition factions before reconciling  with the government forces in the summer of 2018, but he did not join any military side after that,” the sources added.

In a similar incident, a person called Ahmad Muhammad al-Aloush was wounded by unidentified gunmen in the city of  al-Sanamayn in the northern countryside of Daraa.

Al-Aloush was transferred to the National hospital in the city. “He is still being hospitalized,” a local source told North Press.

Al-Aloush is a civilian and has never joined any military or security parties in Daraa, the source added.

It is worth noting that Daraa, despite the full control of the government forces and the reconciliation they held with the people there, still witnesses a state of security chaos and daily killings, as five cases were recorded yesterday.
