Syria’s northwest witnesses mutual shelling between government and opposition
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Different areas in the de-escalation zones in northwest Syria witnessed on Thursday military escalation and exchange of shelling between the government forces and Turkish-backed opposition factions.
The opposition factions’ sites in the towns of al-Fatira, Sufuhn, Kafr Aweid, Kansafra, Deir Sunbul and Benin in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, were hit with heavy artillery by the government forces, military sources in the opposition told North Press.
Similarly, said the sources, the points and fortifications of the opposition factions in the town of Kafr Ta’al, Taqad and the outskirts of Kafr Noran in the western countryside of Aleppo, were hit with heavy artillery by the government forces.
Meanwhile, the positions of the Syrian government forces in the villages of al-Malajah and Kawkaba in Jabal Shahshabo, south of Idlib,, were hit with heavy artillery and missiles by al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room.
The de-escalation zones in the northwest of the country daily witness exchange of bombardment between the Turkish-backed opposition factions and the government forces, without any change in the field control map.
