QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the US-led Global Coalition to defeat the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) renewed commitment to security cooperation with their partners of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

“Since 2014, the Global Coalition and SDF have been strong partners. Ensuring the lasting defeat of Daesh is our common goal,” International Coalition for Operation Inherent Resolve said on its official Facebook account. 

“We remain committed to security cooperation and partnership with the SDF to help communities in northeast Syria rebuild and flourish.”

“ISIS is militarily defeated and the Coalition remains committed to ensuring our partner forces maintain their enduring defeat,” a military official for Combined Joint Task Force – Inherent Resolve (CJTFOIR) said last week.

He indicated that the Hawl Camp “problem requires more than a military solution in the long term,” adding the situation in the  camp “requires the combined action of multi-national and non-governmental agencies.”
