Child body found near pro-Iranian faction site in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, Pro-Iranian factions found the body of a child buried near one of its military points in a town west of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.

“Members of al-Quds Brigade found the body of a 16-year-old boy, who was shot in the head and buried next to their site,” a military source from the pro-Iranian al-Quds Brigade in the town of al-Masrib, west of Deir ez-Zor, told North Press.

The child died more than three months ago, according, the source cited to a field doctor in the Military Hospital in Deir ez-Zor.

The people of the town did not identify the body, as no identification papers were found with him, according to the source.

The body belonged to a member of the pro-Iranian factions who was killed in mysterious circumstances, and they do not want to disclose this, a civilian activist from the town said via a phone call to North Press, stressing that the military point has been there for nearly two years and no civilian can approach it.

The pro-Iranian factions control large areas of the Syrian Badia and the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, which have recently witnessed clashes between them and the Islamic State (ISIS).

Two days ago, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) found the bodies of two members of their forces who had been kidnapped  and killed at the hands of ISIS members in the town of al-Susah in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
