One person killed another injured in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – One person was killed and another was injured yesterday after anonymous gunmen shot them in the northern countryside of Daraa, eastern Syria.

Muhammed al-Heimed, 35, was killed and Hassan Ahmad al-Fallah, 25, was wounded as they were directly targeted with gun shots in Sanamayn city, local sources told North Press. The two were civilians.

Al-Heimed was hospitalized but died later of injuries while al-Fallah is still in the hospital for treatment.

The two hail from Sanamayn and had joined the opposition factions earlier but following the settlement process in 2018, they joined no military factions, the sources said.

Assassinations against civilians and former members of the opposition factions in Daraa are on the rise.

The party behind the assassinations are yet to be identified, activists said.
