Targeting military convoy of government forces in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified individuals targeted a military convoy of the Syrian government forces, east of Daraa, southern Syria, on Friday, with a number of explosive devices.
Unidentified individuals targeted a military convoy of the government forces, on the road between the towns of al-Kehil and al-Ghariya al-Sharqia in the eastern countryside of Daraa,local source told North Press.
The convoy included dozens of vehicles, including cars carrying heavy machine guns and others carrying dozens of fighters, according to the source. .
The targeting process came through a number of IEDs had been planted alongside the road, the source added.
Dozens of members of the government security branches arrived in the place of the attack and imposed a strict security cordon, the amount of losses were hard to be identified, the source pointed out.
Despite the implementation of the Russian-brokered settlements, Daraa has been witnessing an increase in killing of civilians, government members and former members of the Syrian opposition, without specifying people behind these incidents.
Two members of the Syrian government security forces were killed and two others were wounded, on March 30, in an attack by unknown gunmen in the northern countryside of Daraa.
