Syria’s Aleppo countryside explosion leaves 8 injures, 2 deaths

ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – Two women lost their lives and 8 others were wounded in al-Ahdath a village in Aleppo northern countryside, north Syria, due to an explosion  that took place in one of the buildings on Wednesday.

“The number of people of the explosion who arrived at the hospital has reached ten,” a medical source at Avrin Hospital, in the town of Fafin, told North Press.

The explosion led to the death of Jamila Othman Ma’mo (77 years old) and Nazha Seydou Sido (45 years old), the source said.

The rest of the injured suffered varying injuries, including four severe injuries. One case had an operation and another one is in intensive care in an unstable condition, according to the source.

The explosion took place at a time when bread was being distributed to the residents, according to Muhammad Hussein Mustafa, one of those injured in the explosion.

Ambulances and the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) patrols arrived in the explosion scene to salvage those trapped under rubble.

The cause of the explosion is still unknown, and the security forces have begun investigations to find out the reasons, a security source in the Internal Security Forces told North Press.

The General Administration of  the Asayish is scheduled to issue a statement about the incident at a later time, according to the same source.
