Russian jet bomb opposition faction in Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Russian warplanes bombed sites of Turkish-backed opposition factions in Idlib, northwest Syria.
“The opposition factions’ sites in the vicinity of the town of Ma’arat al-Na’san, in the northern countryside of Idlib, were hit with missiles, through four airstrikes, by Russian warplanes, ” opposition military sources told North Press.
“The raids came in tandem with artillery shelling by the government forces, which targeted military bases of the Turkish forces in the areas of Maklbis and Sheikh Suleiman, west of Aleppo,” the sources added.
The targeting resulted in the injury of two members of the Turkish forces, and they were transported to the Turkish territory for treatment, according to the same sources.
The military points of the government forces’ sites near Urm al-Soghra town, west of Aleppo, and the town of Kafr Nabl, south of Idlib, were hit with heavy artillery by the opposition factions, the sources said.
The government forces’ sites near Jabal Abu Ali in the northern countryside of Lattakia, were also bombed by al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room.
