Unidentified gunmen kill clan notable in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor 
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – A clan notable was shot dead yesterday by unidentified gunmen on a motorbike in Deir ez-Zor western countryside, east Syria.
“Unidentified gunmen riding a motorbike shot dead Ahmad al-Jassem al-Ajjan, 58, one of the al-Dawagna clan notables near Jazrat Albo Shams town highway,” said Khaled al-Ajjan, the victim’s cousin
Five hours after the assault, ISIS adopted the operation through its social media platforms and indicated that “the liquidation took place on charges of dealing with the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF)”.
ISIS-backed Amaq News Agency published a statement declaring that the Islamic State’s gunmen, using machine guns, targeted Ahmad al-Jassem on charges of dealing with the SDF.
Recently, Deir ez-Zor countryside has been witnessing a spike in assassinations which target SDF members, AANES employees, clan dignitaries and civilians.
Earlier On February 5, the ISIS adopted two operations against SDF, one of them targeted an SDF member’s house while the other targeted a military checkpoint in Deir ez-Zor eastern countryside.
