Hayat Tahrir al-Sham areas of Syria’s Idlib witness chaotic security and murders

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Security chaos, several murders, and mutual shelling between the government forces and the opposition factions, is the situation of the Idlib regions under the control of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly al-Nusra Front) today, Sunday.

Local sources from the town of Atma told North Press that “the two children, Nour Awad al-Hamoudi, 3 years old) and Fatima Imad al-Hamoudi (a year and a half), were found suffocated by unknown individuals this evening in the town of Atma, north of Idlib.”

“The two children came from the town of al-Hbit, south of Idlib. The perpetrator left a message in which he threatened the family, and saying: A sweet gift to the dear Abu Awad, Abu al-Majd, and what is coming is more horrible,” The sources added.

The sources pointed out that “the two children went missing yesterday evening, Saturday, while playing in front of their house in al-Wafa camp.”

On Sunday, a person working as an investigator in a court affiliated with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, was killed in the northern countryside of Idlib by unknown assailants.

Unknown individuals killed the investigator Hussein Ahmed al-Akash, who worked in Salqin Court, north of Idlib, by shooting him while being in the town of Kafr Dariyan near the city of Sarmada, north of Idlib, local sources told North Press.
