Malicious reports entail open settlement center in Syria’s Aleppo

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Syrian government opened a settlement center in the town of Deir Hafer in Aleppo eastern countryside, northern Syria, to settle the status of the wanted people and the youths who evaded the compulsory military service.

An official source in Aleppo governorate told North Press that the center serves the people who could not get access to the first center that was opened in late January in Maskanah town. The new center will remain opened without fixing a deadline for it.

A resident of Deir Hafer, who preferred not to be named, said one of his relatives went missing after he reached the settlement process center in Maskanah. This incident pushed many people not to get into the inspection room today.

“We wish the government to be honest in dealing with us as citizens,” the man said.

“We want to live in our houses without fear that patrols of the Air Force Branch affiliated with the Syrian government will continue to storm houses and arrest the civilians, he added.

Yesterday, two individuals gone missing after they headed to a settlement process center in al-Mayadin city, which is controlled by the Syrian government forces in Deir ez-Zor.
