Soldiers of government forces were killed in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, unknown gunmen shot two soldiers of the government forces to death in the western countryside of Daraa, south Syria.
“Both Muhammad Marwan al-Jabawi and Mahadi Younis al-Jabawi were killed as a result of being shot by unknown assailants in the town of Nimr in the western countryside of Daraa,” a local source told North Press.
“Both of them are members of the State Security Branch of the government forces, and they come from Jassem town in the western countryside of Daraa,” the source said.
He added that they were two former members of the opposition factions, and they joined the State Security Branch after the settlement agreement in 2018, and they had obtained settlement cards.
Despite the entire control of the Syrian government on Daraa and the reconciliation it made with the residents, the governorate witnesses unrest and security chaos where arrests, assassinations, and killings have sharply increased.
