Uncovering health condition of children wounded in Turkish shelling of Syria’s Aleppo
ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE- Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, a medical source of Avrin Hospital disclosed the health condition of the children wounded yesterday in the Turkish shelling of Tel Rifaat town in Aleppo northern countryside, north Syria.
One of the children was transferred to Aleppo-based hospital for treatment.
Yesterday, the Turkish forces and Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) fired 20 artillery shells on Tel Rifaat wounding five children with varying degrees and causing material damage.
The villages of Ahras, Tel Jijan, Telat Zoyan, Smoqa and Shahba Dam were shelled.

Loqman Ahmad, an orthopedic doctor in Avrin hospital, told North Press that Ibrahim Muhammad, 7, has got shrapnel in his left leg which cut the tendon.
Ibrahim Muhammad hails from Bulbul district north of Afrin. He has lived in Tel Rifaat for four years after the Turkish forces captured his hometown.
Zilan Aref Qassem, a child girl also wounded in the Turkish shelling, was transferred to a hospital in Aleppo for treatment given she had an injury in the face and damage to her upper jaw. Afrin hospital does not have specialist surgeons in this specialty.
The rest of the wounded children were discharged from the hospital as their injuries were minors. They are Ali Abdo Muhammad, Newroz Ali Muhammad and Sipan Bakr Mustafa.
The town of Tel Rifaat, which embraces a part of IDPs of Afrin, has been threatened with invasion by Turkey and its loyal factions since residents of Afrin fled their areas and headed towards the northern countryside of Aleppo amidst the successive shelling that the town is witnessing.
Syrian government forces accompanied by Russian forces are running the town of Tel Rifaat and its vicinities, where their posts have been deployed since 2018.
