Government forces kill former fighter in opposition faction in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – One man, who was formerly a fighter in a Syrian opposition armed faction, was killed by Syrian government forces in the city of Nawa in Daraa western countryside.

Nour al-Din al-Khurasan, 33, passed a Syrian government checkpoint in Nawa but he did not stop. Consequently, members of the checkpoint followed him to his house and besieged him. The government forces asked him to surrender but he refused. Therefore, they killed him, a local source told North Press.

The government forces took out the body of the deceased from his house and took it to an unknown place.

Al-Khurasan carried a document proving he had settled his status in 2018.

Incidents of killing and assassination repeatedly take place in Daraa after the Syrian government forces took control of it in 2018.

Member of the Syrian government forces and former fighter of Syrian opposition factions are targeted the most.
