Source reveals details of medical staff killing in Syria’s Hawl Camp
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – A medical source of the Kurdish Red Crescent point in Hawl Camp, northeast Syria, revealed, on Wednesday, that the nurse, Bassem Muhammad, who operated in the medical point in the camp, was killed after suspicions arose about a person sitting near the medical point in the camp, yesterday evening.
There was a person sitting near the door of the medical point and when inquiring about the reason of his presence he said he wanted to visit a patient of his relative called Asma’ who was inside the point, the source said.
And those who were inside the point responded that there was no patient inside the point, the source added.
“There is another medical point affiliated with Cadus organization adjacent to the Kurdish Red Crescent point in the camp so that the murderer demanded that he enters the point through the joint yard with the Red Crescent,” the sources noted.
The victim Muhammad demanded that the killer reveals his identity and show his face in order to know him, but he was covering his face, “In the meantime, the killer tried to flee through pulling the weapon against the victim’s head and fled,” the source indicated.
The other employees of the Kurdish Red Crescent operating in the point evacuated it, yesterday evening, due to the incident.
During 2021, more than 100 individuals were killed in the camp with most of them of Iraqis via silent pistols.
The Hawl Camp is a house for about 15,650 families in total of 57,516 individuals including 2,423 families of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) detained or killed militants, who hail from over than 60 countries.
