Government, opposition exchange prisoners east of Syria’s Aleppo

ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday afternoon, a prisoner exchange operation took place between the Syrian government forces and Turkish-backed opposition factions at the Abu Zandin corridor in the countryside of al-Bab city, east of Aleppo.

“The prisoners exchange operation took place between the Turkish-backed National Army and the Syrian government in the presence of Russian and Turkish officers,” a special source told North Press.

Similarly, on last July 2, the al-Bab region in the eastern countryside of Aleppo witnessed an exchange of 10 prisoners between the National Army and the forces of the Syrian government under Turkish-Russian sponsorship, and under the supervision of the United Nations and the ICRC.
