QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released yesterday, hundreds of prisoners  accused of belonging to the Islamic State organization (ISIS), most of them from Deir ez-Zor, on bail of dignitaries and tribal sheikhs.

Two days ago, the SDF said in a statement that there are some cases of releasing ISIS detainees with clan guarantees after investigations completed where it was  proven that their hands were not stained with blood or any terrorist acts.

An exclusive military source told North Press that the SDF released about 900 detainees who were arrested on charges of belonging to ISIS, whose hands were not stained with blood.

The SDF published a list of the names of those released, in addition to publishing the names of the sheikhs and notables who guarantee the process.

80% of the released prisoners are from Deir ez-Zor and its countryside, the military source added.

The first batch is about 900 prisoners, and there will be other batches in the future, the source added.
