DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, Syrian government security and military forces raided and searched the farms and the IDPs’ tents in the eastern countryside of Daraa, south Syria.
They targeted farms and tents of the IDPs east of Daraa, as a number of tents were burned, local sources told North Press.
The source added that the raid campaign was accompanied by the arrest of three tribesmen in the Lajat area, two of whom were brothers from the town of Ayb, northwest of the Lajat area, and the other from the village of al-Shayah, east of the Lajat, and they were taken to an unknown destination.
The government forces looted large numbers of livestock and motorcycles from the tents in Khirbet al-Quniyah, west of the town of Karak, the sources noted.
This campaign comes two days after a campaign launched by the government forces on the outskirts of the town of Nahta in the eastern countryside of Daraa, which led to the killing of three people from the town and a displaced woman from Suwayda.
It is noteworthy that large numbers of residents of the Lajat area have been displaced to the plains of Daraa governorate after the government forces destroyed their villages.
