One dead in car explosion outside hospital in Liverpool: British Police
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, British police announced that one person was killed and another was injured in a car explosion outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
Merseyside Police said there were reports of an explosion at Liverpool Women’s Hospital. The police rushed to the place of the accident along with units in the fire service.
“Unfortunately, we can confirm that one person has died and another has been taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries, which thankfully are not life-threatening,” the force said in a statement.
“We are investigating the cause of the explosion of a taxi pulled up at Liverpool Women’s Hospital just before 11:00 GMT,” they added.
A spokeswoman said it “has not been declared a terrorist incident” but counterterrorism detectives were leading the inquiry out of caution.”
