Unknown attackers kill civilian in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, a civilian lost his life as a result of being shot by unknown armed individuals in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
Unknown attackers, who were riding a motorbike, fired at the 55-year-old Ali Hassoun al-Sanbak in a market in the town of Thiban killing him immediately, an eyewitness of the town said.
Before the attackers managed to flee, they released phrases saying that the reason for the killing was “revenge,” according to the source.
Recently, the countryside of Deir ez-Zor has been witnessing cases of kidnapping and assassination of members of the SDF, employees of the Autonomous Administration, tribal dignitaries and civilians for unknown reasons. The Islamic State organization (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for most of these cases.
Yesterday, unidentified gunmen shot a civilian to death, while the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) arrested suspects, in a town east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
