DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, unidentified gunmen shot a civilian to death, while the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) arrested suspects, in a town east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

A source of the Asayish in the town of Jazra al-Buhamid, said unidentified gunmen, riding a motorcycle, shot the young man Ahmad Abu al-Zein to death near the central market in the center of the town.

An Asayish patrol chased the gunmen who fled towards the land road leading to the camp in the town, so that it managed to arrest suspects in carrying out the operation, the source added.

Recently, the countryside of Deir ez-Zor has been witnessing cases of kidnappings and assassinations of members of the SDF, employees of the Autonomous Administration, tribal dignitaries and civilians for unknown reasons. The Islamic State organization (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for most of these cases.

On November 3, unknown gunmen, riding a motorbike, killed a young man by a silencer gun near the al-Hassiya neighborhood on the outskirt of the town of al-Hawayij, 45 km east of Deir ez-Zor, while walking down the street.
