Turkey resumes bombing Syria’s Hasakah countryside
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – After a week of calm, Turkey resumed, on Monday, the bombing of the countryside of Tel Tamr town, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
The Turkish forces and the affiliated armed factions targeted the village of al-Dardara, north of the town of Tel Tamr, with a barrage of mortars and artillery, a military source of the Military Council told North Press.
Residents’ houses and property were damaged in the bombing, according to the source.
The Turkish bombardment comes after a week of calmness in all frontlines in the Tel Tamr area, which has been bombed for two months.
Most of the villages on the contact lines with the Turkish forces in the countryside of Tel Tamr, north of Hasakah, have become empty of residents due to the continuous bombardment.
The village of al-Dardara, 4 km north of Tel Tamr, is the most prominent village on which the Turkish bombardment is focused, as it has hit by hundreds of Turkish shells.
