International silence gives Turkey green light for more massacres: Future Syria Party

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The international silence towards Turkish violations in northeast Syria gives green light for Turkey to commit more massacres, Muhammad Rajab, head of Future Syria Party in Deir ez-Zor, said on Tuesday.

The Turkish threats against northeast Syria continue and are already implemented by destabilizing the region, inspiring terrorist sleeper cells, bombarding border areas with Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and targeting the residents with drones.

“The international silence authorizes Turkey to keep on killing civilians and destroying properties,” Rajab added.

The UN international human rights organizations and their related institutions should take a determined stance against Turkey and bear their moral and humanitarian responsibilities in terms of Turkish barbaric territorial ambitions in the area. They should also preserve the slogans on human rights they call for, Rajab asserted.

Rajab pointed out that Turkey is attempting to ‘resurrect’ the Ottoman Empire glory on the pretext of national security and is using its backed Syrian opposition factions to achieve that.

The reason behind the Turkish recent military intensification in northeast Syria is that the UN has turned a blind eye to Turkish violations and is unable to take the right procedures to counter these violations, Rajab concluded.
