DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, three children lost their lives in the town of Khirbet Ghazala in the eastern countryside of Daraa, southern Syria, due to a bomb explosion of war remnants.
Local sources told North Press that the children Madin Yahya Abu Shanab, Muhammad Yahya Abu Shanab and Nada Yahya Abu Shanab lost their lives of their injuries as a result of the explosion that took place in the town of Khirbet Ghazala.
The sources reported that this area has been under the control of Syrian government forces since 2012, and these forces have not carried out any operation to remove the remnants of war in the villages and towns they controlled, which caused “dozens of victims.”
On October 10, the citizen Ammar Nayef Hamdan al-Asimi, 55, from Da’el town in Daraa countryside, was killed in an explosion of a landmine left behind by the government forces while he was plowing his land.
On August 30, the 11-year-old child, Muhammad Hakim Sayel, from Lajat area, east of Daraa, was killed by a bomb left behind from the war, east of the town, and another child was injured by amputating one of his feet.
On August 29, two children were killed and their mother and sister were injured, after a remnant of war exploded next to their house north of Qarfa town in Daraa countryside.
