Turkish points in Syria’s Idlib receive more reinforcements

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – For the third time in a week, Turkish forces sent on Tuesday, new military reinforcements to the fourth de-escalation zone in northwest Syria.

“A Turkish convoy of 50 military and logistical vehicles entered the Syrian territory through Kafr Lossin border crossing and headed to the Turkish points in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib,” eyewitnesses told North Press.

“The convoy consisted of armored vehicles and trucks carrying ammunition, logistical materials, cement blocks, and dozens of members,” said the eyewitnesses.

Since the beginning of 2021, the Turkish forces have continued to send more military reinforcements to Idlib, coinciding with the military escalation between the Syrian government forces alongside the Russia forces and the Turkish-backed armed factions.

There are about 12,000 Turkish soldiers and 9,000 military vehicles in northwest Syria, according to some press reports.

On October 24, Turkish military sent more than 100 vehicles to its bases deployed in more than 70 points in Idlib, especially in Zawiya Mountain area.
