Since early 2021, over 500 Syrians died on Syrian-Turkish border

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Since early 2021, more than 500 Syrians including 96 under 18 and 67 women were killed by Turkish soldiers.

Meanwhile, the number of those who were wounded via either bullets or during attacks has come up to 745.

The wounded and injured, who are targeted by the Turkish gendarmeries via , are either residents of Syrian border villages and towns or farmers, or those who were trying to cross the border.

Syrians have realized that Turkey has let them down at all levels including military, political, and also the humanitarian.

Turkey was a party to the war in Syria, and it opened the borders for weapons and militants to enter to Syria, and it also supported, and is still supporting, dozens of armed factions that are involved in infighting in the supposedly safe areas.

Additionally, Turkey receives international aid and funds provided by EU countries and the US on the behalf of Syrians, who receive nothing of them, according to IDPs.

Meanwhile, thousands of IDPs are homeless and without future after most of them forcibly fled their houses and cities due to agreements signed between Turkey and both Russia and Iran.

They are certain that their lives and their children’s have collapsed, and that hope is fading day after day, in light of compelling circumstances, with no work, no security or safety. They have two options, either to be mercenaries, sent by Turkey to Libya or Azerbaijan, or they die of starvation and oppression.
