Turkish-backed armed factions attack Syria’s west Ain Issa
AIN ISSA, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, a civilian lost his life and four others were wounded in an attack by Turkish-backed armed Syrian factions on the village of al-Debs, 7 kilometers west Ain Issa, north of Raqqa.
“As a result of the attack by the factions, 35-year-old civilian Majid al-Awad lost his life and four other civilians were wounded,” a military source from Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said.
“Militants of the Turkish-backed factions killed al-Awad and stole 100 sheep which he owned,” the source told North Press.
Meanwhile, the wounded were transferred to al-Hisha Hospital for treatment and their condition is critical, according to a doctor operating in the hospital.
“On Wednesday at dawn, militants of Turkish-backed factions attacked the village with tanks,” SDF said on its official Facebook account.
As a result of the fierce clashes, which lasted for more than two hours, civilians were killed and others were wounded as well as dozens of militants of the factions were killed and their vehicles were damaged, according to the source.
