Turkey renews shelling of Syria’s Tel Tamr

TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, Turkish forces and Turkish-backed armed Syrian factions targeted two villages in the countryside of the town of Zargan (Abu Rasin), north of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.

An informed source told North Press that late Sunday evening, Turkish forces targeted, the villages of al-Nuwaihat and Khadrawi, north of the town of Zargan, with more than ten mortar shells.

The bombing resulted in material losses to the residents’ property, according to the source.

The Turkish bombing of the countryside of Zargan comes after about a week of calm, as the areas of Tel Tamr and Zargan witnessed a military escalation that lasted from August 20 until the beginning of September, which killed a child and a woman and left massive material damage to residents’ houses and vital infrastructure.
