Turkish shelling damages power network in Syria’s Tel Tamr
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Turkish shelling of the countryside of Hasakah “caused damages to the power network,” said Ahin Suwyad, co-chair of Office of Energy and Communications in Jazira Region, on Wednesday.
Villages near the towns of Tel Tamr and Zargan (Abu Rasin), northeast Syria, have been witnessing intensive Turkish shelling for an almost a week killing civilians and displacing hundreds of residents.
“As a result of the Turkish shelling, low tension networks collapsed in Zargan,” Suwyad said in an exclusive written statement to North Press.
“Turkish shelling broke poles connecting the power lines and damaged many power transformers,” he added.
