Residents of opposition-held northern Syrian city of al-Bab protest against power cut-off
ALEPPO COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, residents of the city of al-Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria, protested against the long and continuous power cut-off in the city, which has been under the control of the Turkish-backed opposition factions since 2017.
One of the protestors chanted against the electricity company, which cuts power in the afternoon for more than four hours.
He added that the continuous cutting caused losses to the shops’ owners and industrial workshops, who were forced to operate private generators to continue their work, while other goods and commodities that need refrigeration to be preserved, were spoiled.
Yesterday, residents of the city of Azaz organized a similar protest against the ongoing and prolonged rationing of electricity.
