Turkish artillery bombards Syria’s Aleppo countryside
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, Turkish artillery, stationed at the Scientific Research Center on Azaz-Yahmoul road, bombed the vicinity of the city of Tel Rifaat and the surrounding villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria.
A private source told North Press that the bombing targeted the vicinity of the city, in addition to the bombing of the villages of Alqamieh and Maraanaz in Sharran district, the villages of Soghnaka and al-Hosh in Sherawa district with more than 30 artillery shells.
The source added that the bombing continued until late hours of the night, without any reports of the damage caused by the bombing.
The town of Tel Rifaat includes hundreds of families of Afrin IDPs since the Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions took control of it in 2018.
