Russian warplanes continue bombing opposition factions in northwest Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, Russian warplanes conducted airstrikes against Turkish-backed armed factions west of Hama, northwest Syria.
Russian warplanes targeted the armed factions’ fortifications in the vicinity of the town of al-Bara, located in Zawiya Mountain area in the southern countryside of Idlib with high-explosive vacuum missiles and two air raids, military sources from the factions told North Press.
The air raids coincided with intensive shelling by Syrian government forces on posts of the armed factions in the countryside of Idlib and Hama.
In Idlib, government forces bombed the sites of the opposition factions in the towns of Sufuhn, al-Fateira, Binin, and Ablin west of Idlib with rocket launchers, amid intense flight of reconnaissance aircraft in the airspace of the region.
The fortifications of the opposition factions on the villages and towns of al-Ziyara, al-Sirmaniyah, Duqmaq in the Ghab Plain area in the western Hama countryside, were subjected to laser-guided Krasnopol shells by Syrian government forces stationed in Jorin Camp, according to the same sources.
Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, the National Front for Liberation, the Army of Glory (Jaysh al-Izza), and other factions, targeted a military positions in which government forces are holed up in areas of Zawiya Mountain, the Barakah barriers, and al-Burkan located in the Ghab Plain area, west of Hama, with Grad missiles.
