Two women killed by unidentified persons in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, two women were killed and two children and a man were wounded when unidentified gunmen raided a house in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.

“Unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle raided a house near al-Rawi bakery in the center of al-Busaira town, 35 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor,” a military source from the town told North Press.

“The gunmen indiscriminatley opened fire on the members of the family who were inside the house, killing the two women and wounding two children and a man,” the source added.

The wounded were transfered to al-Shuheil Hospital and they are in good condition, except for the child who was wounded near his chest, according to the source who reported to the medical staff in the hospital.

Recently, the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor witnessed widespread assassinations of members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), employees of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, notables and civilians, some of which were claimed by ISIS.

On July 10, ISIS claimed responsibility of the killing of a civilian after he was kidnapped under the pretext of cooperating with the SDF in the town of al-Jirzi in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
