Government forces bombard opposition sites in northwest Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Syrian government forces bombed sites of the Turkish-backed armed factions in the western countryside of Idlib, northwest Syria.
Military sources of the opposition told North Press that Syrian government forces bombarded the opposition factions’ sites in the cities and towns of Darat Izza, al-Atarib, Kafr’ama and al-Tawamehin in the western countryside of Aleppo with heavy artillery shells.
The bombing resulted in the killing of a child in the city of Darat Izza, and the injury of others, who were transferred to medical points for treatment, the source added.
Sources in the Syrian Civil Defense (White Helmets) told North Press that government forces stationed in the vicinity of the city of Kafr Nabl bombed, on Saturday night – Sunday, positions of the factions in the town of Ihsem with laser-guided Krasnopol shells.
The bombing resulted in the killing of six people, all of whom were children and women, and the injury of others of varying severity, who were transferred to medical points for treatment, according to the same sources.
The sources added that government shelling with heavy artillery targeted the villages and towns of Billion, Iblin, and al-Fateira in Zawiya Mountain area in the southern Idlib countryside.
Source from Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), Jaysh al-Izza, and the National Front for Liberation which are affiliated with the Syrian National Army (SNA), bombed government forces’ sites in Tel al-Ziyara, located in Kafr Noble and the village of Basqala, south of Idlib.
