Russian-Turkish forces patrol in Syria’s Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Russian Military Police and the Turkish forces conducted a joint patrol in the western countryside of Kobani, northern Syria.
This is the 62nd joint patrol in the areas between the two sides since the Russian-Turkish agreement on ceasefire in northeast Syria.
The patrol, which consisted of eight armored vehicles and two helicopters, kicked off from the villages of Ashmeh, 20 km west of Kobani, and roamed several villages in the area to be back to its starting point.
The Turkish vehicles went out from the gate close to Ashmeh village, while the Russian ones went back to their headquarters in al-Iza’a region, west of Kobani.
On July 6, both forces conducted the 61st patrol in the same area.
