Iraqi refugee killed in Syria’s Hawl Camp
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, unidentified persons believed to be affiliated with sleeper cells of the Islamic State (ISIS) killed an Iraqi refugee in Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
An Iraqi refugee was found shot in the head on Saturday morning in the second sector of the camp, and she did not have her own housing, a source in the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in the camp said.
The number of murders in the camp has increased once again since mid-June.
Last month, two Syrian sisters and Iraqi refugees were killed, and there was an attempt to kill a Russian woman in the migrant sector of the camp using sharp objects.
The number of killings in the camp over the past month and the current one has reached about 10 cases, after the security operation carried out by the Asayish and units of the Syrian Democratic Forces at the dawn of the twenty-eighth of last March in search of wanted persons and perpetrators of the murders in Hawl Camp.
