Syria’s Manbij Military Council foils infiltration attempt by Turkish-backed factions

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the forces of the Manbij Military Council that is affiliated with Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) foiled an infiltration attempt by Turkish-backed armed factions in al-Jat village, north of Manbij, north Syria.

The infiltration attempt took place near al-Jat village, with members of the factions are taking advantage of the density of trees near the Sajur River in the area and regularly attempting these incursions, a military source from the village said.

The infiltration attempt is carried out under cover of shelling and intensive and indiscriminate firing on civilian homes in the region.

Today, the Manbij Military Council published on its official Facebook account that Turkish forces and their affiliated factions targeted the village of al-Kawkli, Qirt, and Yaran in the eastern countryside of al-Bab city with approximately 20 mortar and artillery shells.
