Shelling on Syria’s northwest wounds civilian
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, a person was wounded as a result of a mutual shelling between Syrian government forces and Turkish-backed armed factions in the de-escalation zone, northwest Syria.
Government forces targeted the villages and towns of al-Fatira, Kfar Aweed, Sufuhun, Kansafra, and Binin in Zawiya Mountain, south Idlib, with artillery shells and missiles, military sources said.
As a result of the shelling on the outskirts of al-Bara, a person was wounded and was transferred to a medical point near the shelling site, the sources told North Press.
In response, the armed factions shelled the posts of the government forces, stationed at Jurin Camp and in areas in Ghab Plain in Hama governorate, with artillery and mortars, military sources from the armed factions told North Press.
Meanwhile, the mutual shelling coincided with intensive flight of Russian drones over Idlib and the countryside of Hama, Aleppo, and Latakia, northwest Syria.
